Owner Operator Albin Haglund opened up the first Lax Warehouse store in Feb 2003, later to be named Lax Locker (present). Albin’s motivation was to organize and build youth lacrosse at the younger levels which didn’t exist in Arizona. This former NCAA Div I Champion (Cornell 76) and World Champion (USA Grandmaster’s 45 + 2002 Perth Australia World Games) through fundamental clinics started the first youth leagues in May 2004.

Since that time to the present, Albin has introduced over 2000 young boys and girls to this exciting sport. Albin emphasizes fundamentals and drills in all his clinics and leagues. Albin is passing along many years of experience he acquired from his Hall of Fame Coach at Cornell Richie Moran from his playing days at Cornell.

After achieving success in the Scottsdale area, Albin opened up the Lax Locker Chandler Location in April of 2005 to duplicate his clinics and leagues in the East Valley to help promote and spread the sport. The first ever Chandler league was held in the Fall of 2006.

Again, Coach Haglund brings 35 years of lacrosse experience to his Lax Locker Stores. Albin can be found in his Scottsdale store most days or on the field with kids in his clinics or leagues which he enjoys most.

Albin is also on the AYLL (Arizona Youth Lacrosse League) Board of Directors since 2003.
